The Peterites’ picnic song!
On Sunday 8th June 2008, St. Peter’s Colony Zone went on a picnic. 29 people ranging in age from 12 to 82 years bridged the age gap and set out for a day of fun and frolic. The rainy weather failed to dampen our cheerful spirits. We got off to an early start leaving the colony at 7 a.m., reached Pinewood Resort, Karjat at 9 a.m. in time for a scrumptious breakfast.
Some played carom, others gamboled about in the pool, a few went around exploring the area. The seniors kept everyone entertained with their jokes. Later we had group games, quizzes and even a scavenger hunt. After a delectable lunch we had housie and some hilarious indoor games followed by refreshing masala chai and hot pakodas which invigorated us for the journey back home. On the bus we had spot prizes, sing-along sessions and memory games.
We came back rejuvenated and are already looking forward to our next picnic.

If you went out to Pinewood Resort on the 8th of June
You were sure of a big surprise.
For every Peterite that ever there was
Was gathered there for certain, because
That’s the day the Peterites had their picnic.
Every Peterite, that’s been good and even some who’ve been bad
was sure of a treat that day
There were lots of wonderful things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees, and by the pool
Indoor games and quizzes too
That was the day the Peterites had their picnic.
Picnic time for Peterites,
The Peterites had a lovely time.
At their picnic on a rainy Sunday.
