September 8, 2006 was an important
day for the Daughters of the Cross all over the world,
being the 173rd anniversary of the Foundation of the
Congregation in Liege, Belgium, and the 143rd year of
establishment in India.
The boarders of St Joseph’s Convent, Bandra, decided
to take the sisters down memory lane, by carefully selecting
some of the sayings of Blessed Marie Therese, the Foundress.
They presented these sayings prayerfully through recitation
and choreography, during the homily of the Eucharist
which was celebrated by Fr Juan. Their aim was to help
the sisters recall and revitalize themselves in their
commitment to Jesus Crucified, after the example of
their Foundress. It turned out to be most inspirational,
so that the sisters were able to renew their commitment
that day with greater fervour and dedication.
