NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
St. Peter's Church
30th October 2011
  1. The New Revised Liturgy will come into effect on the First Sunday of Advent. We will begin practice for it before every Mass on Saturday and Sunday. We request you to kindly come five minutes before each Mass begins. 
  2. The Senior Citizens Association is arranging an Advent Recollection by Fr. Errol Fernandes SJ, on Thursday, 10th November from 10 am to 1 pm in St. Joseph’s School Hall. Kindly register at the Church Reception before 8th November. 
  3. The St. Peter’s Health Cell will conduct its Osteopenia (Bone Density) Camp on Sunday 20th November from 9 am till 12 noon. Registrations are being done at the Centre from Monday through Friday between 5 and 7 pm. 
  4. The Civic Cell will meet on Saturday, 12th October at 5 pm in Our Lady’s’ room. We encourage our Parishioners to join this Cell and get involved in civic activities. 
  5. Junior Lectors will have a Recollection on Sunday, 13th November from 5 to 7 pm in Our Lady’s Room. All are expected to attend. 
  6. The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed or All Souls day is on Wednesday, November 2. Besides the regular weekday Masses we will have two extra Masses in the Church at 5.15 and 6.15 pm. We will also have a Mass at the Seaside cemetery at 5.15 pm. The Blessing of graves at the Church will be done after the 7.30 am Mass and after the 6.15 pm Mass. 
  7. Subscribers to the Examiner are requested to renew their subscription for the year 2012 at Rs. 450/= Non-subscribers may book their Christmas issue at Rs. 50/=

    d.            A talk on “How to avoid complications of Diabetes” on Monday, 14th November at Holy Family Hospital.
    e.            Inner healing retreat at St. Louis Church from 2nd to 6th November.

23rd October 2011
  1. We will begin practice for the New Revised Liturgy before every Mass on Saturday and Sunday. We request you to kindly come five minutes before each Mass begins. 
  2. Next Sunday is Mission Sunday. In order to bring home to our Parishioners the true meaning of Mission which is to be done not only in the villages but by every Christian and in the place where he/she resides, we will be having Zone-wise Masses in the Church next Saturday and Sunday. Please check the Notice Board for the timings and please come to celebrate along with the members of your Zone. 
  3. The Senior Citizens will have their fun and fellowship Housie this Thursday, 27th October at 5.30 pm in Our Lady’s Room. All are welcome.

16th October 2011
  1. There will be a youth Mass on Sunday, 16th October at 11 am in the Church. All youth are welcome and encouraged to participate. 
  2. The first session on Training Lay Leaders by Fr. Paul Coutinho will be held on Sunday, 16th October at 10 am in Our Lady’s room. All are welcome. 
  3. There will be a meeting of the St. Peter’s Youth Group on Tuesday, 18th October at 7.30 pm in the Youth Centre. Youth who attended the World Youth day will share their experiences. All youth are invited to attend. 
  4. The Hope and Life group will meet on Wednesday, 19th October at 6 pm in Our Lady’s Room. 
  5. A meeting of Cantors will be held on Monday, 17th October after the evening Mass. New Cantors are also welcome to attend. 
  6. The Bombay Catholic Sabha of St. Peter’s Parish is organizing a drive to obtain Identity cards for Senior Citizens and also a membership drive at the main entrance gate of the Church on Sunday, 16th October from 9 to 11 am. Please cooperate. 
  7. Next Sunday is Mission Sunday. In order to bring home to our Parishioners the true meaning of Mission which is to be done by everty Christian and in the place where he/she resides, we will be having Zone-wise Masses in the Church next Saturday and Sunday. Please check the Notice Board for the timings and please come to celebrate along with the members of your Zone.

9th October 2011
  1. During the month of October and beginning on Monday, 3rd October, we will recite the Rosary at 6.45 pm in the Church from Monday through Friday. All our Parishioners are urged to join in this popular devotion. 
  2. The parents of those who will receive Confirmation are required to come for a meeting on Sunday, October 9th at 9.45 am in Our Lady’s room. All are expected to attend. 
  3. The Focolare Movement invites you to “Mariapolis” an annual gathering for all. It will be held at Lonavala from 3rd to 6th November. Please see the Notice Board for details. 
  4. The Finance Committee will meet on Sunday, 9th October at 11 am in the Parish Parlour 
  5. The Parish Council will meet on Friday, 14th October at 8 pm in Our Lady’s Room. Members are requested to pick up a copy of the Minutes and Agenda from the Sacristy. 
  6. Advocates will render advice and assistance free of charge on Tuesday, 11th October from 7.15 pm onwards at the Church Parlours. 
  7. BMC Officials will be in the Church premises to register new votes and correct errors in the names of those already registered. Kindly contact the Church Receptionist for further details.

2nd October 2011
  1. The Parish is conducting a “Calendar Front Page Competition” to elicit entries for the design/art work/picture or photograph that will be used on the Parish Calendar for the year 2012. These must be submitted to the Parish Office latest by 3rd October.  There is no entry fee or age limit and you may submit as many entries as you wish. We have received only one entry till date and urge our Parishioners to please participate. 
  2. The Family Cell of our Parish is celebrating “Thanksgiving Day” on Sunday, 2nd October with a Mass at 8 am. This will be followed by a Session titled “Parenting – How much is too much” in the Therapy room. All parents are encouraged to attend. Kindly register at the Parish Office latest by 25th September.
  3. There will be a recollection for Eucharistic Ministers on Thursday, 6th October from 5 to 6.30 pm. All Eucharistic Ministers are expected to attend.
