Peter's Church 27th June 2010

The
Annual General Body Meeting of St. Peter’s Unit of the Bombay Catholic Sabha
will be held this Sunday, 27th June at 11.00 a.m. in the Conference Hall, 1st
floor. The AGM will be after the 10.00 a.m. Thanksgiving Mass. Parishioners are
requested to please attend in large numbers.
- This year
we will be celebrating our parish feast on 4th July. The feast mass will be at
10.00 a.m. where the Heads of associations and zones will be commissioned.
Following the mass we will have an hour of fellowship and song for all
parishioners and well wishers in the School Shed. We will also have stalls in a
food court put up by the various zones, from 8 a.m. on Sunday, 4th July. All
Zone Co-ordinators kindly inform Sr. Sumitra by 30th June the latest.
- ‘Couples
for Christ’ will be conducting a ‘Christian Life Seminar’ in the Bosco Hall at
St. Andrew’s Church, from Sunday 4th July at 5.30 p.m.
All married couples, singles and widows are invited. Look up
the notice board for details. - The
Women’s Cell of St. Peter’s Church is organising a physical fitness programme
for women 30 years and above on the 9th & 10th July from 4– 5
p.m. in the Mini Hall. Registrations are accepted at the reception
counter at Rs.50/- per head for both days, latest by 4th July, and these will
be entertained on a first come first served basis.
- There
will a Lector’s Meeting on Wednesday, 30th June at 7.30 p.m. in Our Lady’s
Room.
- Please

term courses at the College of Social Work, ‘Nirmala Niketan’
• Sankalp –
A livelihood training programme for the Marginalized & underprivileged
youth
• F.I.M.C.: Bio-Medical Ethics Centre offering Basic
Certificate Course in Healthcare Ethics 2010-2011 for every lay person. - God
bless you for last weekend collection which amounted to Rs.62,260/-.

The
weekly parish adult catechesis programme for the following two Thursday at 8.00
p.m. will continue
having the topic on “Peter, the Apostle”.
- All
youth, studying and working, are invited to the Youth Mass at 9.45 a.m. on 20th
June, repeat at 9.45
a.m. on 20th June, in the Therapy Room.
- Monday, 21st June
is St. Aloysius Gonzaga – Jesuit Patron Saint of the Youth.
- Senior
Citizens’ Association will be having the monthly Housie this Thursday, 24th
June at 5.30 p.m. in Our
Lady’s Room. All are welcome.
- Parish
Council members are requested to please pick up a copy of the minutes of the meeting held on
9th June, 2010 from the Sacristy.
- The Women’s Cell

only & Fr. Anthony Lobo’s book ‘Unmasking The Lie’ at Rs.150/-.

forms for I.T.I. & Non I.T.I. programmes are available at Don Bosco, Kurla from
Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Joseph
Cardijn Technical Institute offers 2 year ITI course in the trades of Motor Mechanic,
Electrical & Fitters. SSC passed students can apply. The Institute
also offers
Certificate Courses for drop-outs in the technical trade of Carpentry, Welding,
Wireman, Motor
Mechanics and A/C Refrigeration.
• Admissions
to E.C.C.E. course of ‘St. Margaret’s Training College, Byculla for the new Academic
Year June 2010 are open.

This is
just a reminder for those who have
enrolled for Confirmation – kindly see that
you are there with your parents tomorrow after the 10.00 a.m. Mass.
- The weekly parish adult catechesis programme for the

Archdiocesan Heritage Committee is organising a half day seminar this Sunday,
13th June from 10:00 a.m to 1:00p.m at Mt. Carmel Church Hall. All those
interested are welcome to attend. There are no charges.
- Admissions
are open for Std.I –VIII at St. Aloysius Night High School, Bandra. Admissions
are also open for the NIOS at the same school.
- The St
Peter’s Medical Centre is fully functional for all departments
