  1. Non-Parishioners who would like to get married at St. Peters Church, may pick up a set of guidelines from our parish office or download it  from our web site stpetersbandra.com
    On our Web site you will also find photographs of recent programmes like the Pilgrimage, Confirmation etc. 
  2. A meeting of Cantors & Choirs will be held on Friday, 5th March at 8.15 p.m. in the Holy Cross Room. 
  3. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Cell of our parish will have a special liturgy at the 6.45 p.m. mass at our church on Saturday 6th March. This will be followed by a get-together at St. Sebastian School Hall. Entry passes are available with your zone animators. 
  4. Our Parish Council will be held on Wed 10th March and not on the 2nd Friday as usual. 
  5. Holy Family Hospital is celebrating Women’s Health Day on 7th March with a power point presentation by Dr. Kevin Quadros. Please look up the Notice Board for details. 
  6. The Diocesan Youth Centre, Bandra is organizing a TEENAGERS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ‘TOP’ for Std X  students on Tue 23rd, March, at St. Andrew’s Church. Please look up the Notice Board for details.

21st February 2010
  1. We will have a special Mass on 21st Feb at 10.00 a.m. to pray for those appearing for their Board exams. 
  2. Our ‘Searching the Scriptures’ session will be held this Tuesday after the evening mass. 
  3. Our Parish Lenten Mission conducted by Fr. Rufus Pereira is from Mon 1st – Fri 5th March evenings. 
  4.  We would like to inform you that since our Seaside Cemetery Chapel has been renovated, it is now possible to celebrate funeral masses with smaller congregations there itself. 
  5. Our parish Summer Fiesta ‘SPLASH’ will be held on Sat 29th & Sun 30th May, 2010. Further details will be announced later. 
  6. The Archdiocesan Women’s Commission is conducting a workshop entitled “Nurturing the Beautiful U” on Sunday 28th Feb. at 9.00 a.m.  at St. Joseph’s Secondary Small Hall. Please look up the Notice Board for further details.

14th February 2010
  1.   Ash Wednesday falls this year on 17th Feb. Mass Timings are  in the morning as on weekdays. In the evening Masses will be at 5.15, 6.15 & 7.15 p.m. Imposition of Ashes will be done after all Masses. 
  2. Our Lenten Programme for the Holy Week can be picked up from the boxes outside the church. 
  3. The Archdiocese is conducting a programme for the heads of associations and Parish Council members at 7.30 p.m on Thursday, 18th Feb. in Our Lady’s Room. You are all required to attend. 
  4. Please look up the Lenten programme for the Stations of the Cross.  
  5. We will have a special Mass on 21st Feb at 10.0 am to pray for those appearing for their Board exams. 
  6. There will be a Basic Bible Seminar conducted by Fr. Mario Mendes on 21st Feb from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Secondary Small Hall. All Parish Council members and Zone animators are urged to attend. For others who are  interested, please register at the Parish reception counter by this Monday latest.  Please bring your Bibles along with you. 
  7. An All Mumbai Intercessory Rally will be held on Sunday, 21st Feb evening  at 4.00 p.m. at St. Paul’s School Grounds, Dadar (E). The Eucharist will be celebrated by Cardinal Oswald Gracias. 
  8. Those of you who would like to purchase the books made available after the Steve Ray programme may now buy them at our Examiner stall.  We will be selling the book ‘Essential Catholic Survival Guide’ at a discounted rate of Rs. 100/-. 
  9. The collection for St. Anthony of Padua Church Trust, Kalwa amounted to Rs.8,39,791.  Fr. Cajetan and his parishioners thank you for your generosity.

NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

7th February 2010
  1.   The St Andrews parish invites you tomorrow/today, Sunday at 6:15 p.m. to participate in the 75th Anniversary of their Consecrating Bandra to ‘Christ the King on the St. Andrews School grounds.  
  2. Advocates will render Free Assistance this Tuesday from 7.30 p.m. in the church Parlour. 
  3. We will not have  our ‘Searching the Scriptures’  this Tuesday. 
  4. We will be celebrating ‘World Day of the Sick’ on  Thursday, 11th Feb with a  special rosary at the Grotto at 6.45 p.m. 
  5. Our Parish Pilgrimage to the Mount will be held this Friday, 12th February. We will assemble on our Front grounds at 7:30 a.m. Mass at the Mount will be at 8:30 a.m.  
  6. The Sacrament of confirmation will be celebrated at our Church next Sunday, at the 10 a.m. Mass. . 
  7. The Archdiocese is conducting a programme for the Heads of Associations and Parish Council members on Thursday, 18th Feb at 7.30 p.m. in Our Lady’s Room. Please make it a point to attend. 
  8. Our Mass to pray for all those appearing for their board exams will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, 21st February. 
  9. There will be a ‘Basic Bible Seminar’ on Sunday, 21st Feb from  4  to 8 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Secondary Mini  Hall.  All Parish Council members and Zone Animators are reminded to block that day for the same.  Others interested please register at the Parish reception counter by 14th Feb. latest. Please bring your Bibles along. 
  10. Our Parish Lenten Mission, which will be conducted by Fr. Rufus Pereira will be  held from 1st – 5th March. In order to have as many of our parishioners attend,  no programmes should be held on the Church campus during the Missions.  
  11. Please look up the Notice Board for Admissions to the Jesus & Mary Teacher Training Institute at Byculla.
