  1. The SPY youth group invites all SPY members and ex-members to join in ‘for Crazy Rain Games’ on the school Background this Monday at 5 p.m. sharp. 
  2.   All teachers are invited to our teachers celebration next Sunday at the 8 am. Mass followed by a short fellowship.  Please register at  the Parish reception counter.  
  3.   On Monday, 7th Sept we will have the Rosary at the Grotto at 6:30 p.m. 
  4.  The Catholic Sabha has organised a power point presentation on Swine Flu. This short presentation will be held in the Mini Hall on 6th Sept at 11 a.m. 
  5.   We request those who visit our Emmaus Chapel not to stand and block the Blessed Sacrament or touch the glass with their hands.

  10.   Fr. Nixon of Goa has released a CD entitled ‘Where can I go Lord?’ This is available at our Stall. The proceeds go in charity.

  1.  The St Joseph’s Ex-Students association presents “Monsoon Mela 2009” where a host of goodies will be on sale from 9 a.m. onwards tomorrow/today, Sunday at the St. Joseph’s school Hall. 
  2.   Our Parish Legal Cell and Senior Citizens group is organising a talk on ‘Drawing up your Will’ on Monday, 24th August at 6 p.m. in Our Lady’s room. 
  3.   You are invited to our Senior Citizens ‘Fun and Fellowship  Housie’ this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Our Lady’s room. 
  4.   Parish Council Members are reminded to attend the training programme entitled “Finding God in All things”. This programme will be held this Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Our Lady’s Room. 
  5.   The Bandra Deanery Youth Day celebrations is to be held at the Mount Carmel’s church hall next Sunday evening. Tickets for the same will be made available at our parish reception counter. 
  6.   Tickets for the St. Andrews Zonals which is to be held from the 23rd August are now available at our Parish office. 
  7.  On Sunday, 6th September we will be celebrating ‘Teacher Days’ at the 8 a.m. Mass after which we will have a short fellowship. All teachers and ex-teachers from any school and parish are invited to register their names at our  Parish Reception counter before the end of this month.

  1. The Catholic Sabha has arranged a talk on the Forth coming elections tomorrow/today, Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Parish Mini Hall. All are welcome. 
  2. The ‘Civic Cell’ is taking up the issue of traffic hazards on Hill Road & Bandra Station. Members will be sitting  this Saturday and Sunday in the Church porch  for a signature campaign. Kindly encourage this cause for the betterment of our living in Bandra. 
  3. St Peters Medical Center is happy to inform you that Fr. Joel Mascarenhas sj will be joining their Counselling unit. He is available from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Please get in touch with him directly.
    The Medical center will be conducting Psychological testing  on   Thursdays from 5 p.m. onwards. Please Contact the center for details. 
    Our Medical center will also be conducting a Bone Density camp on the 30th Aug. for details get in touch with the center soon. 
  4.  The St. Andrews Zonals which is to be held from the 23rd August is now also open to  Non-St Andrew parishioners who would like to participate. For details Please look up the notice board.

As a precautionary measure because of the Swine Flu epidemic, out of your concern for others, we request you to receive Holy Communion in the Hand and not on the tongue.  This we remind you is only a request out of concern for others, but  if you would still like to receive communion on the tongue you may do so.
    We take this opportunity to also remind you that while you receive communion in the hand or on the tongue, please do it with uttermost devotion.

  1. Next Sunday, the  10 a.m. Eucharist is especially offered for all members of the legal profession, even those retired. We request those in any way connected with the legal profession to please enlist your names at the reception as soon as possible. 
  2. On Saturday, we celebrate the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady and Independence day. It is a day of Obligation. The Masses on the day will be as of Sunday. The Mass on Friday 14th evening will be at 7:15 p.m. and on Saturday evening at 5 and 6 p.m. as of Sunday.
    We will have the Flag hoisting on the St. Peters Square at 9:45 a.m. 
  3. The Family Cell is organising a movie “Fire Proof” on Independence day at 6 p.m. at our Lady’s room. This is specially for couples and parents. 
  4. Advocates will render Free Assistance this Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. in the Church Parlour. 
  5. We will have our 30 minutes ‘Searching the Scripture’ Session this Tuesday in Church, soon after the Evening mass.

  1. This Justice Sunday, 16th of August ,we will be having a special Eucharist at 10 a.m. for all members of the legal profession, even those retired. We request all those who are in any way connected to the legal profession, students, lawyers, legal secretaries, clerks etc. to please enlist your names at the reception as soon as possible as we will also be having a small get together after the mass.  
  2. This Friday is the First Friday of the Month. We would like to remind you that every First Friday we have a special mass at 6 p.m. after which we have a Half hour adoration. The 7:15 p.m. mass is as usual. 
  3. Please note that no one is to place any material in the boxes at the Church porch without the explicit permission of the parish priest and do not place in the porch  books, magazines and religious articles that you do not want at home. 
  4. If you see any dog inside the church please inform our watchman who will do the needful.
