  1. Bishop Bosco Penha will meet the Parish Council and SSC animators on 25th August at 7.30 p.m. in Our Lady’s Room. Agenda will be mainly on youth work in our parish. 
  2. There will be the usual Senior Citizens’ Fun & Fellowship Housie this Thursday, 26th Aug at 5.30 p.m. in Our Lady’s Room. All are invited. 
  3.  Zone animators will meet this Thursday, 26th Aug at 7.00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Room for a Bible session. 
  4.  A reminder: There will be a meeting for parents of the Jesus Club children in classes KG to Std. III on Sunday, 29th August at 9.00 a.m. in the Therapy Room. 
  5. The St. Peter’s Medical Centre has organised Osteoporosis (Bone Density) detection camp on Sunday, 29th August from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Please look up the Medical Centre Notice Board for details of registration fee, etc 
  6. As part of our Teacher’s Day celebrations, St. Peter’s Parish is having a special Eucharist for all teachers both, serving and retired, at 8.00 a.m. on Sunday, 5th September in St. Peter’s Church, followed by an hour of fun and fellowship in the school shed. Please register your names with the parish receptionist. 
  7. Please look up the Notice Board for the following:-
    •             St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Bandra Ex-students Association 2nd Annual General Body Meeting on 22nd August at 11.00 a.m. They will also hold their Annual Monsoon Mela from 9.00 am to 12.30 p.m.
    •             The Holy Family Hospital, Bandra will be conducting the ‘Prostate Disease Awareness & Screening Programme’ on 29th August, 2010.
    •             A 3-day “IGNATIAN APPETIZER’ Retreat from 9 – 12 September 2010. The topic will be Searching for ‘Inner Freedom… to find God in all things?

  1. As a reaffirmation of our continued dedication to our country we will recite the pledge. Please stand and repeat the pledge after the reader. 
  2. College and working youth who would like to consider a vocation to the Priesthood or Religious Life are invited for the QUEST Discernment programme, this Sunday, 15th August, at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Opp. Mt. Mary’s Basilica, Bandra. For further details refer to the Notice Board. 
  3. There will be a Training Session for R.C.I.A. Sponsors at Retreat House, Bandra on Sunday, 15th August from 5.00 – 7.30 p.m. in English and Hindi. 
  4.  All youth are invited to the Deanery Youth Day celebration on Thursday, 19th August from 4.30 p.m. onwards at Mt. Carmel’s Church Hall. Passes are available at Rs.100/- with the Youth Co-ordinator, Mrs. Louella Luis (Tel. No.9819621958) and the last date is August 15,  2010. 
  5. The Hope & Life will be meeting this Wednesday, 18th Aug at 6.00 p.m. to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Assumption. 
  6. Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors & Cantors are required for the Novena services at Mt. Mary’s Basilica. Please give in your names and fill up the form in the Sacristy latest by 22nd August 2010. 
  7. The weekly parish adult catechesis programme for the following Thursday will continue having the topic on ‘Esther’

  1. Advocates will render free assistance this Tuesday from 7.15 p.m. onwards in the Church parlour. 
  2. The Parish Council will meet this Thursday, 12th August at 8.00 p.m. in Our Lady’s Room. 
  3. A reminder to all Youth – there will be Mass at 9.45 a.m. on 15th August in the Therapy Room. Hope to see you all in large numbers. 
  4. A meeting of ushers/volunteers, who wish to assist during the Novena/ Octave Week at the Basilica, will be held at Mt. Mary’s Basilica next Sunday, 15th August at 5.30 p.m. Application forms may be collected this Sunday, 8th August from 5.30 p.m. onwards.
