ONE MINUTE MEDITATIONS

God gives you what you can handle
"No trial has come to you but what is human.
God is faithful and will not let you be tried
beyond your strength; but with the trial
He will also provide a way out,
so that you may be able to bear it."
(1 Corinthians 10:13)

Make Sunday the Lord's Day
"Our spiritual life," said Pope Benedict XVI, "essentially depends on the Eucharist. Without it, faith and hope are extinguished, charity becomes cold. Thus, dear friends, I exhort you to attend ever more to the quality of Eucharistic celebrations, especially on Sundays, so that Sunday will truly be the Lord's Day and will confer fullness of meaning on everyday events and activities."

A Catholic's Job
Every Catholic is charged with three tasks.
Know the Catholic faith. We can't share it with others if we don't know it ourselves.
Live the Catholic faith. It should come with us when we leave home.
Spread the Catholic faith. This is not just for bishops, priests and religious, it is for all Catholics.

Silence of the Heart
"In the silence of the heart
God speaks. If you face God
in prayer and silence,
God will speak to you.
Souls of prayer are
souls of great silence."

Blessed (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta.

DO JUST WHAT JESUS DID

It is hard for us to imagine how wonderful Heaven is.
That's why Jesus came to tell us about it and show us
how to get there. He hoped we'd follow in His footsteps
and do what He did ….

Show Love: Jesus asked us to love one another as He did. He showed love by saying a kind word, lending an attentive ear, showing patience in irritation situations, and helping people make good decisions. Try to show love in these
ways every day.

Lighten Your Load: Not only did Jesus have few material goods, he sent his disciples out to preach with almost nothing. He didn't want them -- or us -- to get distracted. Jesus knew that the more stuff we have to think about the less we'd think about God. Give away whatever you don't absolutely need.

Quiet Down: Jesus spent a lot of time alone with God. Spending quiet time with God each day will help keep you
on the path to Heaven.
